I'm a developer and researcher with an excitement for building things that bring value to people's lives and learning more about how the world works. I love crossing disciplines, having followed this thread of creation and discovery through work spanning public health, neuroscience, linguistics, education, fashion, and human-computer interaction. If you're interested in designing, building, and/or researching something together, I'd love to hear from you.
Until recently, I served as principal developer with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, designing and building new lenses on public health data to help inform outreach efforts and policy.
Before this, I led a research team as a postdoctoral scholar with the University of Haifa, spearheading development and pilot testing of a two-person neurofeedback tool aimed at boosting social connection. Prior to that, I completed a PhD in neuroscience at Stanford, a master's in psychology at Cambridge, and undergraduate degrees in English - Linguistics and Biochemistry at ASU. I've also spent time doing research at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and the National Institute of Genetics in Mishima, Japan; studying at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur; and teaching at Tsinghua University in Beijing.
I love learning languages and am invigorated by existing across countries and cultures, more a possibility than ever in this brave new world of remote work.
